Living Fully Today, Health Care Decisions for Tomorrow: Let Your Voice Be Heard

  • Why is it important to talk about what we want at the end of our lives now?
  • What can we do now so that we are not a burden on our family and loved ones?
  • What is an Advance Directive and why is it important in today’s healthcare environment?

When asked about what we want around end of life care, over 80% of us share the same vision: to be free of pain, to be at home surrounded by family and friends and to have our wishes known and honored. Unfortunately, what we know is that because people haven’t planned for tomorrow, over 80% of us will die in pain, in a hospital or nursing home receiving unwanted medical interventions. It doesn’t have to be this way!

Learn what you can do now so you are in control of your life until the very end.

  • A one hour presentation regarding Advance Directives for Health Care Decisions
  • Issues to think about before completing an Advance Directive
  • The process for completing an Advance Directive

Note: the presentation does not include the completion of an individual’s Advance Directive.
