Health
Care Decisions Day! May 13th was our 3rd Annual
event designed to increase public awareness of the importance
for all adults to have a signed Advance Directive for
Health Care. We encourage the public to have family
discussions with loved ones about their end-of-life care
wishes. Hundreds of people came by our table at Valley
River Center to get a free copy of the Oregon Advance
Directive and receive advice on completing the form.
Many other businesses and organizations serving families
at the end of life were also present. If your organization
would like to be a co-sponsor and make a contribution,
or to have an informational table at next year's event,
please e-mail or call Todd Peterson at visitodd@yahoo.com,
or 741-2067.

Terry
Schiavo. This case points up the need to talk
with your family about your wishes regarding end
of life care and then write them down in an advance
directive.
Thank
you , Terry, for the gift of bringing this important need
for communication to our awareness. See also the letter
from the President of Partners to Improve End of Life
Care.
Results
from the Eugene/Springfield Community survey are in! You
can view them in a Powerpoint synopsis (2.3 MG) or by
